MARK System - Smart Glove

ProGlove

Hands-free 2D barcode scanner

The ProGlove MARK range of barcode readers are perfect for busy assembly lines or warehouses where dexterity and freedom of movement are crucial to productivity.

1D and 2D barcodes are integral to the smooth running of most assembly lines and warehouses. Traditionally, staff have had to grapple with ‘pistol scanners’ to track parts and products. While the technology in these readers can be cutting edge, and the scanners fast and accurate, they still require the use of a hand to operate.

Replacing traditional pistols scanners, the MARK System features intelligent standard – mid range scanners that sits securely on a work glove with an easily accessible textile trigger.  The glove can be fitted in a variety of ways, from full glove to wrap-around, allowing workers to scan unhindered while carrying items and operating vehicles or machinery.

Two versions

1. ProGlove MARK Basic

The MARK Basic connects to smartphones, tablets and terminals using Bluetooth technology, and can scan at a distance of up to 1.5 meters without compromising on accuracy. The device can also read DPM codes and features an option for haptic or audio feedback which gives the user immediate confirmation of a successful scan. With over 3,000 scans per charge, it’s the perfect companion for a busy production line or fast paced warehouse.

  • Bluetooth low energy (BLE).
  • Optical, acoustical and haptic feedback options.

Connectivity options

The ProGlove MARK series comes with two connectivity options; direct connection to tablets, smartphones or other portable devices via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or wireless transmission (868MHz) via an access point direct to the PC giving full versatility to a variety of applications.

Access point connectivity

An access point can be seamlessly connected to any PC via USB or RS232. The ProGlove can then transmit any data it holds via RF transmission directly to the PC. This is ideal for longer shifts where data needs to be scrutinised and interrogated at a PC terminal.

Direct Bluetooth connectivity

The ProGlove can also be connected directly to a mobile phone, tablet or portable terminal via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) for virtually instant syncing of data throughout the day. This allows the latest data to be viewed on demand while away from fixed terminals.

Wearable attachments

The ProGlove MARK series comes with a broad range of wearable attachments to make the device comfortable and versatile. What’s more, these attachments can allow users to scan while operating vehicles or carrying stock.

Full glove with index finger trigger

The standard ProGlove attachment. Comfortable and breathable, the full glove also offers support and protection to users, with the scanner mounted on either hand. The index finger can be used to seamlessly initiate a scan, with audio or haptic feedback to confirm.

For areas with lower-level protection requirements for gloves.

Another lighter version of the glove, this attachment wraps around the users’ palm leaving the fingers exposed – perfect for users that still need to access touch screens or handle delicate items that require a lightness of touch. Scans can be triggered by the thumb, with audio or haptic feedback on a successful scan.
