CipherLab’s Safeguard Products with new Antimicrobial Protection
CipherLab in cooperation with Microban, the global leader in built-in antimicrobial product protection, has developed a series of mobile computers and scanners with microban antimicrobial technology.
This
antimicrobial protection series has Microban antimicrobial technology built into the product itself, the anti-microbial protection
will not wear off during its lifetime unlike many other AIDC anti-microbial claimed devices which are simply coated with a protective
film. These new products come with disinfectant friendly housing to inhibit the growth of odours and stains caused by bacteria
while delivering high work efficiency. It also protects the device from periodic alcohol cleaning—a common practice in healthcare
institutions. The ability to withstand repeated alcohol wipes prevent the discolouration and corrosion of the device, as well
as additional hardware malfunction.
This
range has been designed with the healthcare environment in mind, to provide users with extra anti-microbial protection as they handle
day to day tasks with AIDC devices. Within the range are the 8001H mobile computer, 1500H corded scanner and 1661H Bluetooth
scanner.
The pocket-sized 8001H offers 100 hours of continuous operation in batch mode on a lithium-ion rechargeable battery. Its phone-style keypad and easy to learn interface reduces staff training periods—maximising the work efficiency and productivity of every worker.
